THE 6th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON USHULUDDIN & HUMANITIES STUDIES (ICONHUMANS) 2024
The massive but dynamic development of human civilization in the first half of the twenty-first century has brought humankind into a new phase of scientific and technological evolution. Nowadays, everything has become possible and accessible. Humans compete to create products to fulfill human needs and provide a better life. However, science and technology have created a dilemma today, simultaneously leading to progress and degradation for humankind. Today, it is complicated to distinguish between truth and fake, reality and illusion, sacred and profane, progress and decline, etc. Therefore, such human achievement is now being questioned again. Many recent crises are directly and indirectly caused by expansions in science and technology, ranging from environmental issues (climate change, pollution), peace (weapons for war), and humanities (conflicts) to religious issues (regarding authorities).
However, religion and spirituality have demonstrated their contribution and capabilities so far as approaches and analytical tools, resulting in pivotal solutions and findings implemented in various aspects of life. Therefore, it is necessary to consider religion and spirituality as significant points of view in analyzing current phenomena regarding issues of humanity and peace at The 6th International Conference on Ushuluddin and Humanities Studies (ICONHUMANS) 2024. The Faculty of Ushuluddin and Humanities, Universitas Islam Negeri Walisongo Semarang Indonesia, will organize the conference to revitalize the roles of religion and spirituality for global peace and humanity. The conference aims to open new horizons and approaches to dealing with contemporary issues from ushuluddin and humanities perspectives. So, we invite scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of religion, spirituality, and humanities to join us in this important discussion. Register now to secure your spot and contribute to this global dialogue.
